Class Descriptions

  • Upper Extremity Basic Training Focuses on training the upper body and teaching each individual how to properly train these muscles and decrease the risk of injury.
  • Lower Extremity Basic Training Focuses on training the lower body and teaching each individual how to properly train these muscles and decrease the risk of injury.
  • CORE Fundamentals Focusing on increasing flexibility and range of motion through prolonged stretches and self myofascial release techniques.
  • Gait & Balance This class is for individuals who have deficits in gait and balance. Gait is a person’s manner of walking. This class uses different exercises and balance equipment to help train gait and balance in order to reduce fall risk. Fall risk is a huge risk factor in the aging population and individuals who have different lower extremity challenges. This will help reduce the risk and prepare an individual.
  • Mobility/Strength
    – Level 1: for individuals who have restrictions in mobility and strength. This class focuses on gaining mobility and strength through seated and standing exercises.
    – Level 2: for individuals who have restrictions in mobility and strength, but are able to get on and off the ground with little to no help. This class focuses on gaining mobility and strength through standing, sitting, lying down, and other positions.
  • HIIT Boot Camp
    HIIT: High-Intensity Interval Training
    This class is designed to get your heart rate up and help you burn unwanted fat.
    The first section consists of exercises to warm up the body through its ranges of motion.
    The second section is a combination of strength and core exercises.
    Each exercise is 1 min long with 20 seconds rest in between consisting of 3 total rounds.
    It’s up to the individual which section they do each round.
  • Back Class
    – Back class 1: This is a basic class that focuses on exercises that help manage back pain symptoms and prevent it from affecting activities of daily living.
    – Back class 2: This is a more advanced form for active individuals to help manage back pain symptoms and prevent it from affecting physical activity, work, or sport.
  • Neck and Shoulder Class This class focuses on exercises that help manage neck/shoulder pain symptoms and prevent it from affecting activities of daily living.
  • Balance and General Strengthening The focus of this class is to strengthen the core and legs in order to improve stability. Improved leg strength and stability will decrease the risk of falls and allow clients to enjoy a more active, independent lifestyle.
